Getting To Sunny Beach
The Sunny Beach Resort is primarily served by two main airports. These are Bourgas, which is 30 minutes drive from the south and Varna, which is 90 minutes to the north.
Bourgas airport is really only fully operational in the main season between May and October, with departures from many airports in the UK, Ireland and other European cities. There are however regular flights throughout the year from the UK with Wizz Air (from Luton) – and other European cities.
Year round flights operate to Varna and to the capital city Sofia from London and Manchester, so if you plan on visiting Bulgaria from the UK outside of the main season, then Easyjet now fly from London Gatwick to Sofia every day from under £100 return including taxes!!
British Airways fly from London Gatwick to Sofia daily, but not currently to Varna.
Whether you fly into either Bourgas or Varna, I transfers to and from the apartment can be arranged via my Property Agent in Sunny Beach, if you wish.

Experience more of the beautiful countryside and culture of Bulgaria
If you are traveling into Sofia, the brand new Central Bus Station has domestic routes to practically everywhere in Bulgaria. There are numerous ticket counters for all the different operators and destinations are clearly listed. There is also an information desk where the staff speak some English.
Sofia to Bourgas takes approximately 7 hours and should be no more than 50 leva (about £20) but this can be a great way to experience another side of Bulgaria and a cheaper flight option. Alternatively you could catch the train, with a first class ticket, for around the same price. You will find the train station right next to the Bus Station.
